http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/5988203/ I first heard this story yesterday morning at Mass. The wedding was going to be held at my church and the priest saying Mass is the same that was going to perform the wedding. For his homily he told us how this had happened on Saturday and how important it is to remember that life is precious. It was just so incredibly sad. The church bulletin that had been printed before Saturday said that "this week's flowers have been donated by Karen and Christopher in celebration of their wedding". But the family had to turn the wedding ceremony into a memorial service and it sounds like they were very strong under the circumstances. The priest said that the fiancee was distraught throughout the whole service (as to be expected) and then at the end was able to stand up and thank everyone for coming. The dad then invited all the guests to the reception. This is one of those times when you know that God does everything for a reason, but can't figure out what that is and have to have the faith that he knows what he is doing. Anyway, as we start this week this is just a reminder of not to take any moment for granted and tell your loved ones you love them. :grouphug:
We often will rarely know when our time is up... as seen time and time again, it will at times happen so fast.... Death is knocking at all of our doors... be prepared and live like its always your last day.... We just don't know.... :grouphug::grouphug:
Such a tragic and untimely accident, but also yet another reminder of why it is so important to wear your seatbelt!
I think you can still get ejected even if you are wearing one depending on the accident, but it's such an easy thing to do and can mean the difference between life and death. It's just so important.
What angers me is seeing cars/vans with kids in the backseat who are not properly restrained! It's an everyday sight where I see these elementary school age kids jumping around.
On my way home from work on Friday, I saw a Jeep Cherokee with 4 kids, obviously all under the age of 6 or so, not restrained in the back seat. You best believe I called *HP and reported them....
