Don't have a i-phone or i-pod, but do have a crackberry and just downloaded the Garmin golf gps app. Can't wait to try it out to see how it compares to my Skycaddy.
Droid Apps Google Maps For Fun the Shotgun App and just to urinate my wife off, the "Pull my Finger" App And just for you Wulffy - I go to bed at night to the NPR Podcast App Got about 35 others that are good enough to keep but not to write about
iHeart Radio - listen to local and other stations accross the country by genere (sp?) - and you can shake it to find a station and the big kid in me likes that. Urban Spoon - find local restaurants
I have a few favorite aps I LOVE "PS Mobile" it's a no-frills photoshop ap that lets you crop, adjust exposure/saturation/tint etc on photos taken with your iPhone. . .nothing detailed like fixing scratches, red-eye and the like, but really impressive for a phone ap. "Shazam" is really cool - I am forever driving down the road and hear a song and don't know the name of it and want to get it on iTunes or just want to know the name and who does it. . .you go onto the ap and let the phone hear the song and it will tell you who it is, artist, album and will save it for you in case you want to download it - if you do, it only takes another click I think you can get something like 3 freebie lookups a month - I bought the ap and I think it was .99 or 1.99 and that gives you unlimited Shazams Red Laser is also neat - you can scan UPCs of items and it will search to let you know if and where you can find the item online and the best prices. . .I use this often. Another shopping ap I like is "Grocery IQ" it automatically catagorizes your list to canned goods & soup; meat and seafood; beverages. . .you can type in entries of what you need to buy, but for most national brands you can use the 'scan' option and just capture the upc code and voila! it's on your list. It also knows how to separate stores so if you have things you specifically want to get at Sams or Lowes or Walgreens. . or even the local mom and pop - you just enter the name of the store and no matter how many - it will keep separate lists for you There is also a program within the ap for your coupons. You can arrange the aisles of the store the way the store you frequent is laid out too if you wish You can shop off your iPhone screen, or send it to your eMail or your spouses eMail and they can print it to stop at the store and shop. LOVE this ap cause I am forever forgetting my store list on the kitchen counter or my desk. There are a few other aps I really like and use quite a bit, but these were the first to come to mind. Oh, except Facebook - how could I forget it. . .I use that one too, naturally lol 8)
