Johnston County Manufacturer Announces Expansion, 160 New Jobs – JoCo Report Expansion and jobs for Joco.
My bid site shows the new Timber Dr Chick Fil A bidding Aug 17. Lists estimated start date as Nov 9 and completion as April 16, 2027. I wonder with the new layout if they can start construction of the new building while keeping the old store open. Then be closed only a few months instead of the whole 6 months?

Plato's closet is moving into the former Rue 21(?) store in the Walmart shopping center near exit 312.
Hwy 55 at exit 312 has closed, posted on the FB site. 15 years ago, it was fun. we'd take the little league team there after the season. fun 50's music playing etc. since covid, no music, no people, no manager, just teenagers "working". sticky floors/tables etc. instead of cleaning the workers looking at their phones. surprised it stayed open as long as it did.
Anyone got any scoop on this? Property at the intersection of Cleveland Road and McLemore Road right by the GCAA fields.
Wasn't this going to be some apartments or something several years back? I vaguely remember some development planned for this, but I guess it never happened.
I do remember a rumor about apartments a while back, but word has it the lady never intended to sell while her kids were itching to take the payday. Looks like they finally won out. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be townhomes or something; that price seems to lend to a higher density project.

Not sure Mexican is appropriate for AYCE. Guess it'll be a good time to have stock in Tums or be a plumber.
