Roger, who works there, sent me an email saying 3 out of 4 were adopted and the other one would not be gassed. I just found out 3 of the dogs were gassed(after Roger said they would not be). Also a good rescue (taken out for her privacy)wanted to save some of these dogs and they did not return any of her calls. She called many times and did not return any calls at all. This is all documented below. So instead of saving and helping some dogs, which is what they get paid to do, they gassed them instead. People who do not care about animals should not work at shelters or pounds. Also they should not be lying to the public. To make matters worst, they have 300 animals there and they only list 12-15 on petfinder. A rescue asked them why and they said all the others are unadoptable. So that means 285 animals there are unadopted. How can 285 animals be unadoptable???? I can see maybe 5-10 being unadoptable but how can 285 animals be unadoptable???. They must think we are all stupid to believe this information they are telling the public. They also sell to Research here and they also give many animals to animal killer Sue Sternberg. And this is from Ernie the Director there, Basically he admits to gassing a sick dog. Isn't it illegal to Gas a sick Dog??. Also this rescue would have taken this dog. But since they did not return her phone calls, they gassed this dog instead. From Ernie, "With respect to animal number 14903 was euthanized today because of illness. This dog was suffering from kennel cough and because we do not have a vet on staff we had no choice but to euthanize". Can we please do something about this horrible shelter? Can someone contact the News(cnn,fox tv etc) about this? Tell Peta. Hire some people who will help the dogs and not kill them when people want to help the animals. anything to try and help the animals here in the future. In the future they will not tell us anything or keep lying and more animals will die if they are not stopped. The following are the people to contact about this. But I think CNN and Fox TV and major news stations should know about this so they do not kill more dogs that people want to help there. People who like to kill animals move on to hurt and kill people. The BTK Killer is a good example of this. 1. I find it hard to believe there are 300 animals at this shelter. Have you actually been to this shelter? I have, and I don't see where 300 animals could be kept. 2. How the heck would YOU know if an animal had been gassed that was supposed to have been adopted? 3. Without a vet on staff and one animal with kennel cough, ALL animals would have kennel cough and then NONE would be adopted. So one animal was sacrificed to save the others. That's life. 4.
