OK, I need to start doing the coupon thing, and have started with just my single coupons at Food Lion, Wal Mart, etc. Now, I'm ready for the next step for the double/triple coupons at Lowes & Harris Teeter. My question is, though...when those stores offer double or triple couponing times, are the items already swooped off the shelf by other couponers? I don't want to waste a trip to those stores if the items I'm wanting are already gone. Thx.
No, not really. No one is doing triples right now, so you should be good. This last triples at Lowes, they were fairly well stocked and there were only a few things I wanted that were out of stock. HT on the other hand, I haven't had as good of luck there because by the time I get there, they are pretty empty. Others have had a completely different experience though, so YMMV.
HT & Lowes double every day up to .99c, the normal shops should go just fine, like KDC said there are no triples going on now, but....... rumor has it there will be another Super Double up to $2 at KMart again 10/26-11/1
Hey blessed, Here is some info about coupon doubling policies in the Triangle. Hope it helps. Faye The following stores will double coupons everyday of the week in the Triangle area of NC (Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Clayton, Garner, Wake Forest) Harris Teeter: Harris Teeter will double the face value of a manufacturer coupon up to 99 cents. There is no minimum purchase required before they will double the coupons. HT will double up to 20 coupons per sale. Coupons with a face value of $1.00 or more do not count towards the 20 coupon total since they do not double. You can use as many $1.00 or more coupons as you like. They will double up to 3 multiples. For instance, if I have 5 identical coupons for Daisy Sour Cream and buy 5 of the sour creams, they will double 3 of the coupons and the other 2 will be at face value. BOGO’s: Harris Teeter has a “fake” BOGO policy. When they advertise a product on sale BOGO, the 2 items will ring up at half price for each item. They will actually allow you to get just one and it will ring up at half price. This is great when you only want one of a product. Lowe’s Foods: Lowe’s will double the face value of a manufacturer coupon up to 99 cents. There is no minimum purchase required before they will double the coupons. Lowe’s Foods will double up to 20 coupons per sale. Coupons with a face value of $1.00 or more do not count towards the 20 coupon total since they do not double. You can use as many $1.00 or more coupons as you like. They will double up to 4 multiples. For instance, if I have 5 identical coupons for Daisy Sour Cream and buy 5 of the sour creams, they will double 4 of the coupons and the other 1 will be at face value. BOGO’s: Lowe’s Foods has a “fake” BOGO policy. When they advertise a product on sale BOGO, the 2 items will ring up at half price for each item. They will actually allow you to get just one and it will ring up at half price. This is great when you only want one of a product. Kroger: Kroger will double the face value of a manufacturer coupon up to 50 cents. There is no minimum purchase required before they will double the coupons. There are no written limits on the number of multiples you can use. Kroger has a true BOGO policy and requires that you buy 2 items to get the buy one get one free price. BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) Policies Lowe’s Foods – Lowe’s BOGO policy is not a true BOGO. When they offer BOGO deals, they charge ½ price for each item. If you only want to buy one item, you will only be charged ½ price. Harris Teeter – Harris Teeter’s BOGO policy is not a true BOGO. When they offer BOGO deals, they charge ½ price for each item. If you bought more than one of the incorrectly priced items, you will get the difference you overpaid back for the remaining items. Don’t leave the store without checking your receipt for errors! Internet Coupon Policies: Due to recent widespread internet coupon fraud, many grocery stores are scrutinizing any coupons printed from personal computers. Harris Teeter is currently only allowing 2 internet coupons per manufacturer and Lowe’s Foods is allowing only internet coupons that scan with no difficulty. Many Krogers will not accept any internet coupons at all. Your mileage may vary at an given store. Some stores will accept more than the policy allows and some will not want to take any internet coupons. If you feel the company is nto following their corporate policy, call corporate from the store for verification. As a general rule, if you receive a printable coupon via e-mail from an individual (not a manufacturer) or see a coupon on an internet chat room that you did not print directly from a manufacturer’s or other legit site, there is a good chance that it is fraudulent. Most internet coupons for FREE product are not legit. Usually high dollar coupons like $5 off any Tide are also fraudulent. When a printable coupon does not expire for many months ahead (6 months to a year), it is often illegally created, as well. When using internet coupons stick to coupons you print directly from manufacturer’s websites or those found at sites such as www.smartsource.com, www.boodle.com and www.coupons.com.
