How do I do a defrag? My friend mentioned it to me a couple of days ago and I don't know how to do it.

    Thanks

    Click on "Start"...
    then "Programs"
    then "Accessories"
    then "System Tools"...
    Should see "Defragmenter"

You can run a "Analyzer" first to see how much space you will save...
Be prepaired to take anywhere from 1/2 hour to a couple of hours,
depending on how fraged it is...

What operating system are you using???

You can just double click on "My Computer" then right click on the Local Disk C then go to properties. Click on tools. There it shall be.

I use the maintainence wizard. That way I can also check the hard drive for errors. In win ME, it's Start/Programs/Assessories/Maint. Wiz

You mean kick it with my steel toe boots out in the yard and set fire to it?   I think I can handle that!
Hope you are doing great! How's your group? We are up to 35 members in my cult!

Group is doing well. We have added a few more members to our group but has stayed about the same. Business has been doing well. I have teamed up with an Internet and phone service provider recently and I hope that will pan out for me.

    How you been doing?

    Harley~

How'd the defrag go? My hubby always suggests doing it in safe mode also. Of course, I rely on him to "fix" those things I *inadvertantly* do to my computer anyway...

    It worked, I guess :?
Had no clue what I was doing but do notice a difference in the speed. Got a bunch of crap off my computer that didn't need to be there as well.
