ALL of my computers are in on a plan this month to drive me insane. Now my laptop is giving me a .dll error. I googled it & there seem to be many fixes but I don't want to go through the sites that download & scan & tell you that you have a million problems & they can fix 5 for free but the rest you have to pay for.

Any suggestions of a quick, easy & free fix for this problem?

Depending on the dll, either re-install Windows or whatever application the dll belongs to.

By the way, when it copmes to "quick, easy and free", you can't have all three. You can only have two. Choose well.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I may have fixed the problem by restoring the system to a date prior to the dll error. :hurray:

As for which to pick, I'll pick easy & free, but if I only get one, free works because I will work hard to figure it out :) Thanks again.

One problem down (though it is looking like your advice for my daughter's laptop is working too - system restore) so maybe 2 problems down, only about 4 more to go :? You guys are so kind to help!
