    Email problem question's

    Windows 2000 / Outlook

    1) I just changed a friend over from outlook express to outlook, everything went pretty smoothly - however, yesterday and today when she sends e-mails some go, some just sit in her outbox?

    2) Even b4 changing her over - anytime she gets an e-mail with a hyperlink it won't work. When she clicks on it - NOTHING happens - she has to cut copy paste the hyperlink into ie bar?

Thanks for any suggestions - Traveler

In my newer Outllook, 2003, to create a hyperlink for my signature you have to go to 'Advanced Edit' and then highlight the web address or email and right-click and choose 'bookmark' or 'email address' or whatever.

Dev - You were right, it was a file association problem. Just had to go into IE and tell it to be the default browser and all is working just fine.

Seems they had a bout with a teenager loading AOL (not just aim but full blow AOL) and we have been trying to get rid of all the quirks since. AOL hyjacked everything!!

But all is better - Thanks for the guidance DEV!!!

Outlook has security settings built in. Just analyze those. You will be fine.

Rule of thumb.....Use what you are familiar with. What you can get the best support with. Majority rules.

Gotta admit Ken, Thunderbird is as good as Outlook. I do need to download some of the add-ons though.
