My Epson printer, Epson/Stylus CX4800, has stopped feeding paper through unless someone puts a little pressure on the piece of paper. It is annoying and sometimes the paper goes through a little crooked. I have tried cleaning everything, using different paper and moving the thingy that positions the size of the paper.

    Help, please.

    Grace,
I'm guessing that you've had this printer a while. That loading device gets a lot of abuse...from normal use. I'm on my third Epson now...and yes, we do print a lot.
Repair will be more expensive than replacement. If it has other functions, i.e. scan, etc...you don't have to dispose of it. Use the scan function for dedicated scanning. Keeps it out of the landfills.

You might try roughing up the pickup wheels with some very fine sandpaper.

Thanks, guys. Will try roughing up the pickup wheels and if that doesn't work will think of alternatives.
