I have a minor gripe today, just have to get it off my chest. I had some of those get 5 free 2 liters of Cokes coupons and went to use them at a store that shall remain nameless, because they ususally do great. I had a few other items and the Cokes, she rings everything, takes my coupons, DOES NOT take off the Cokes and proceeds to shove the coupon in her little bag and tells me my total. I said (politely of course) "What about the coupon for the free Cokes?" She says "It won't work so I can't take it off." I say, "then you can't KEEP my coupon!" So she grudgingly gets it back out then proceeds to try to figure it out. After much sighing, moaning and groaning and a mgr, she finally get's it right. What made her think I wouldn't notice she didn't take it off to start with and then what made her think she could keep my coupon too? I took Faye's advice and remained polite, but $5 is $5!!!!
Wow. I can't believe she didn't even try to do it right. And then she tried to keep it and did not offer to give it back with an explanation. That's really bad customer service. You may want to let the manager know that the cashier needs additional training on how to handle coupons that she is not sure how to process. If you shop the store frequently and they usually do a good job, I imagine the manager would be open to hearing about your experience. Sorry it happened. Those coke coupons have been a nightmare for everyone!
