I am not sure if this is similar to the power pin already discussed but I took my 8mo old laptop to the geek squad (since I bought it at Best Buy) due to it loosing power, now it will not stay on unless I have it plugged in They said it was due to the port where I plug my cord into is loose. They said it would be $300 plus for comp usa to fix, can anyone else fix this? Anyone know of somewhere that does HP warranty work, it is still under manufacturers warranty. PS. I have 2 laptops with this problem.
If this is still under warranty then call HP. They will send you a box and you ship it and they fix it.
