Antivirus 360, it's a horrible virus that I've already gotten twice within the last month. Use the malaware link appcomm lists in the previous thread, it works for me. It takes a long time, over an hour, but it's the only thing I found to get rid of it, and I tried a lot of other things first! Good luck, and be careful, this virus will read anything you open, including passwords, bank accounts, etc.

I've been reviewing another freeware product for about a month now. It's called Norman Malware Cleaner. So far it's been a great 'catch all'. It surpasses Spybot capabilities in finding the hard stuff and rootkits.

It's the only freeware I've used that wiped out the W32sality.exe worm. Run it over and over till it comes back with 0 finds. Then run Spybot. Seems to have cleaned everything I've had to deal with in the last month.

Here's a link: Norman Malware Cleaner

    I like malwarebytes myself.

I used the Malware one yesterday. Seems to have really perked up the desktop.

A quick note: After you clean up your PC do a Windows Update. Many people turn it off, or the 'auto' downloads it and they never click on the install icon in the systray. The updates will typically fix anything the malware removers changed when you clicked "delete all". The "delete all" can sometimes make minor changes in the OS that were necessary for your particular setup.

I don't use auto update. I just have a bi-weekly checklist and it's on it. Your PC is like your car. Wash it twice a month!
