Hi, My child was accepted into the film school at the North Carolina School of the Arts. We are really excited about her attending, but one one of the requirements is a Mac Book Pro with some special software. Even with the student discount we are looking at $1700.00 plus the cost of the software. I was wondering if anyone here had one for sale or knows where i can get a slightly used one. I've checked CL and seen what appears to be some pretty good deals, but I wanted to try locally first. I've never had any experiences with Mac so I am completely lost as to what's a good deal and what isn't. The recommeded specs are: 15" Screen (required) 2.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 4GB 1333MHz 500GB 5400-rpm1 Intel HD Graphics 3000 AMD Radeon HD 6490M with 256MB GDDR5 I'm willing to pay a fair price but I simply can't afford $1700 plus the $650.00 Software package. Any info would be of great help. Thanks.
