Okay, I am a SAHM and haven't worked for years.(Since 2005). I received the 1040-V form in themail. I believe this is for self-employeed people. Just the form, nothing more, no letter, nothing w/ it. NOw, since I make no income, do I just ignore this form? I mean, I'm not self-employeed and never have been self-employeed. I've always worked for a company in the past but never myself. Could this just be a fluke that I got this? Anyone else receive one of these by mistake? Thanks. Have a great weekend. stephanie--mom to 7
The form 1040-V is the voucher form one would fill out when they owe the IRS money. You would fill out the form with all the essential information and enclose a check in the amount you owe the IRS and then mail them together. It is not a income tax return form. It would be included with your income tax return forms if the end result is you owe taxes. Self-employed, sole-proprietors, would attach form Schedule C to their 1040 to report their business income.
Too bad SAHM's couldn't get a tax return for all the hard work they do! It's a 24-7 job with no pay, no vacation, no benefits, and you can't quit! LOL
Just got back from getting my taxes done. I'd like to know who the genius was that decided that the child tax credit should end when the child turns 17. Come on!!! That's when we need it the most . . . senior year, insurance, etc. I'm gonna fire a letter off to my congressman. :banghead:
it isnt fair about the child tax credit, the first year it came out my daughter was 17! moms who work should also get credit, they do everything a sahm does and works also!
