Question for you. Not sure if its being spoofed or if some hacked my gmail account or something. I just got an email from apple. I thought about emailing them back and saying I had never emailed them about support. One thing I noticed is the email they put inside the email is wrong. They emailed it to my gmail account but listed a different email inside the email. Let me post it and let you guys see it.

    Dear R,

Thank you for contacting iTunes Store Customer Support. My name is Vincent and I understand that you set up an account using the Click&Buy option but when you tried to buy music, you were unable to sign in.

I realize the importance of your concern and I will do my best to help you.

After carefully reviewing the information you've provided, it appears that your email address "r.verner.r@gmail.com" is not yet associated with any iTunes Store account.

Please note that when you're ready to shop on the iTunes Store, you will need to create an account. This article will show you how:

It might have been someone trying to get access to your password that opened the support ticket. The country on the request is listed as Germany.

The Apple links in your post look correct, so it doesn't look like phishing. I'd just ignore it. If you report it to Apple, they probably won't do anything anyway.

At least you're alert to the schemes out there. That's more than a lot of people.

yea well I come from the computer field. Been in it 16 years and now changing careers to the allied health field. Still going to be working with computers of sorts. Just the ones that deal with the nuclear medicine machines.

Just don't want anyone messing with my iTunes.
