Alright, I'm tired of the 4-8 customer PCs randomly placed on my desk(s) along with the batch of cat6 and power cables running haywire... Where can I find an inexpensive Lan Station (other than building it myself)?

    Thanks!

When I first realized I needed a station to do my work I knew the only economical way out was to build it myself. What led me to that conclusion where the prices I found on most of the "discount" lan station web sites for the casters. They all want over $120 for four casters, that's ridiculous when I can buy the same castors at Agri Supply for around $70.

With the quantity of PC units you mentioned, you'll need a 72" station minimum and that will run almost $1000 for the basic station with freight.
I went the route of checking the restaraunt supply stores for used shelving units and modified it to fit my needs. I built a 60" unit for under $250.

    My thoughts exactly

That's the road I was headed down too... I can't believe these *discount* places want over $1000 for a 72" lan station...

    Thanks again,

Check out Sam's Club. It's been several years, but they had them with casters for $69. Wish I had picked up several, but didn't need them at the time.

You might want to check out Wester Auction - located just down the road from South Johnston High School. http://www.westerauction.com

Look at their Warhouse Inventory section (on the right hand side of the home page.) You might find what you are looking for. If you don't see it online, I'd advise giving them a call. They have LOTS more items than what is listed on the site. (I have gotten 19" equipment racks from them in the past.)
