I am desperatly searching for a Monitor cable to connect an older Gateway Flat Panel Monitor Model # FPD1500 to my desktop. This cable is not a standard grade VGA Cable but a small pin connector type cable that plugs(clips) into the back of the monitor to connect video in to the desktop. I tried to call Gateway and got no where as to where to get a cable and tried both Best Buy, Wal Mart and Circuit City - No Luck. I even tried E Bay with no success. If anyone out here knows of this cable and what I'm looking for please P.M. me. I will pay $ for this cable. This monitor was manufactured in 2001. Thanks in advance.

Did you know that this monitor only works with 2 video cards? If you don't have the destop PC that came with the LCD it probably won't work? If you have it working with a standard video card then you'll have to be more specific on the plug type.

    The Video card Part #'s: 6000749 & 6001045

If you have the matched set, or, you have the video card listed above, you will need:

    DVI-D to MDR20 DFP Adapter Cable - Part # 8003275

I think the gender on the plug is = MDR20 Male to DVI-D Female
I'm not sure, you will want to verify this. Look at the plugs.

Here's one link ...... but probably cheaper to find the cable places in Raleigh that will make one. Check yellow pages.

    DVI-D Single Link to DFP/MDR20

Thanks for the info. I don't believe that this monitor will work, so it is going in the recycleables.
