Woo Hoo, they are REALLY here. I'm a bit of a doubting Thomas, so I am glad to see it in print this morning. The ad is on the back of section 21A, there is no coupon that you have to bring for the triples this time, all it says is to have your customer rewards card & $35 min. purchase, so that is much less of a hassle than the last time. I decided to stick with Lowes this time and not go to Harris Teeter since they are so much closer to me, so I'm going to be wearing Lowes out the next few days! Happy Shopping!!
I went in there twice this morning and saw lots of people with binders, also saw Faye ( hi Faye!) and SB on her way in. It should be against the law to have this much fun grocery stopping. :lol: First trip, total before card and coupons: $49.93, paid $8.18, saved 84% Second trip, total before card and coupons: $$57.90, paid $14.85 saved 74% Kiddo was getting really bored, so will wait for hubby to come back from his backpacking trip and head back out there. Well all of ya'll scamps got there before me . I did see some presents, tho. Thanks HG! They had my little one (WHY did I take her shopping?!) running through the isles looking for more! I couldn't go until this afternoon to HT. My husband laughed his head off when I got home and pouted "I only save $70!". He thought that was too cute! I *may* make it to Lowes tomorrow, but am not sure. Too much going on at night so I don't know if I'll have enough time between work and appointments. Frogger
Well I didn't make it to HT, but I did hit LF yesterday and this morning before work. I'm going to another one at lunch and then hit it again on the way home from work! My DH thinks I'm crazy!
y'all are killin' me and making me jealous that I can't take advantage of this round of triple coupons since I'm in FL on vacation. My mom says that she's never seen triple coupons advertised down here at Publix or Albertsons... She was pretty impressed with the coupon binder and my stories of my own savings and what you guys are saving. Keep up the savings!
i did one trip. bill was 260.00 I paid 94.00...not to bad. plus i had some things like charcoal etc..
Third quickie trip into Lowe's today, total before coupons and card, $67.01, after triples and card, $19.66, 70% off. Not quite as good as yesterdays, but I got some of that turkey tenderloin they had on sale as well as a couple of Boston Market frozen dinners that were on sale, but I didn't have coupon for them too. I got several things free though like the Success rice, some mayo, more BBQ sauce, pancake mix, Coffemate liquid creamer, etc. My cabinets and pantry are overflowing! :lol:
It is a good problem to have! I won't be scrounging at the last minute looking for things to take camping with us this summer, I've been stocking up on the convenience foods so I don't have to pay out the wazoo like it did last year every time we went! :shock:
Fourth and last trip today, I am out of coupons, LOL. Total before card and coupons, $67.01, paid $19.66. There were a couple things in there that either didn't have a coupon or didn't triple. So total savings of 70% off the whole order. All together, I got $239.64 worth of stuff for $62.45, I am pretty darn tickled with that! Much less than I would have spent for ONE week in my pre-Faye days, now I am stocked up for months on so many of our daily usage items plus some "extras" I wouldn't normally have gotten such as fruit snacks because they are normally just too high, kiddo is happy! Woo Hoo!
Wow you did awesome kdc!! Way to go!! I thought of you Monday morning. Of course I have yet to put my name & addy in my binder. I got up and could not find my binder. Panic set in. I looked EVERYWHERE. Usually it stays on the bar on in my car. It was neither place. In freak out mode, I called Lowes at 6:30 am since that was the last place I went Sunday afternoon. No luck. They had a red binder but that was it. I was thinking why oh why did I not follow kdc's advice. Then I called my hubby at work to ask him if he had seen it anywhere. Well, turkey that he is, had hidden it from me. He thought it was funny!!! I was so ticked off!!! But it's all good now....my binder is safe and sound. Bren
Oh, he would have been a dead man! When I sent my hubby to Lowes to pick up my binder, he was calling it "My Precious" I said, your darn tootin! It's real money in there!!! :lol:
