I am in need of microsoft office for my computer. Before I go and buy it at BestBuy, I just thought I would see if anyone had a better idea of where to get it from.

If you are doing standard office stuff (documents and spreadsheets) and need to be able to work with MS Office files, you might want to try out Open Office. It's a free download at: http://www.openoffice.org/

    Personal or business use?

Do you need the newest version or can you use a slightly older version?

I don't care what version, as long as I can get excel and office. I need to do some spreadsheets, but mainly word processing.

If you "have" to have MS Office, 2003 is new enough so doing the updates after loading it will bring you pretty close to current.
    EBAY $35 2003

Because this is personal use I'd agree with appcomm, use Open Office for free.

When I was taking a class at Wake Tech, I bought MS Office from the above website for a great price. A lot of K-12 schools can buy through the website, too. Do you have kids in school???
