I attached a mouse to my laptop and it keeps jumping. When I am typing it will just jump to somewhere else and I have to keep clicking it back to where I am typing. Anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it? Thanks

Try placing the mouse on a piece of paper. The wireless mouses get very jumpy on shiny surfaces.

I have it on a mouse pad and it is not wireless.

Have you cleaned your mouse ball (older type mice), used to also give me issues.

I would also try another mouse and make sure the PC isn't the issue.

It doesn't have a ball it has a light. Tomorrow I will try another mouse and see. Thank you.

    Mouse..

Not sure what your mouse pad has on it... but with the type you have you are better to have a plan/solid colored one. Designs and patterns on the mouse pad will cause it not to work correctly.

You can also go into the control panel, hardware, mouse properties and make sure your mouse properties are set for your mouse.
