    ...back again...

    I've started using Firefox ...
We have RoadRunner and I've never been able to access all their features with out going around my elbow to get to my, well, you know...

I've just discovered that by using Firefox I can do it all!! Then the Firefox pop up blocker kicked in. I don't know how to turn it off. There isn't an icon on the tool bar so I downloaded the extension below. I restarted Firefox but still can't find the icon. So, I'm an idiot.

Any body want to hold my hand and walk me through this one? Please?

Places the popup blocker icon in the status bar, regardless of site settings.

I decided to write this simple extension after finding many great status bar interfaces to manage cookies, and the indispensable NoScript extension.

If you're frustrated that the status bar interface for popups only appears after a useful popup has been blocked, try this extension =)

So you installed the extension and it doesn't show up?

Look under Tools / Extensions and verify it is listed in there.

Mine shows up as a box with a red 'X' in it, in the bottom right corner of the browser.

Should be able to help you thru this fairly easy.

That's ok, nsane. I use Firefox also and a lot of the times the questions posted here seem to be happening on my computer too. It helps others out too, to read the info :)

I'll second devilock on using Opera. I've used it a lot more lately, although I will admit I've been trying out the IE7 beta. One thing about FireFox, they let you know when they update it, BUT that does not mean any extensions you have added will work with the new version. I just got tired of getting it working the way I wanted it and then certain things would not work.
