I've got a desktop PC that is making a bad noise. It sounds like a fan. When I look inside and try to pinpoint the noise, I do see a fan that seems to be running properly, but is noisy. There doesn't seem to be any overheating, but I am afraid to keep using this too long without taking appropriate action. Does anyone know of a good computer repair place I could take this to? I could possibly do it myself, but I have limited experience working on the insides of a PC, and would rather use a good reputable, experienced person that will stand behind their work. I'll consider anywhere in the Clayton or Garner area for starters. I work in RTP though, so anything between Clayton and RTP could be good as well. Rodney
I highly recommend Randy with RomWorks. Romworks.biz He'll come to you, and he is very reasonably priced. Please tell him that I referred you!
Take the fan out, peel back the small silver sticker in the middle of the fan, put in a few drops of oil. Recover and put fan back in. Problem solved.
