my outlook started shutting down continuously and has pretty much stopped working all together. Now it will not let me do anything I keep getting this
"The messaging interface has returned an unkown error. If the problem persists restart outlook"
Well I've done that MANY times & still nothing. Any ideas??? I am going crazy! DD is trying to back it up to another computer but it will not even let me access the files!

Do you have the install cd? I'd uninstall it and then reinstall.

Go under the help menu. DO a repair.

What version of Outlook are you using? Outlook Express or the full version of Outlook (with Calendar, Notes, etc.)?

If using the full version of Outlook, your PST file may have hit the 2GB limit, which will cause it to stop working. If using Outlook Express, you could have corruption in the .dbx files that hold the data.

There are solutions available for both of these.
