I have a Dell A920 All In One printer, copier machine. When we had the bad weather a while back it seems to have damaged the scanner part. It prints fine, but the scanner is the problem. What could be done to fix this, and is it costly?

More than likely you've had the unit for more than 1 year. If not, it's under warranty call dell.

I try to convince my customers not to by "all in 1's" because like christmas lites, when 1 lite goes out they all go out!!!! Typically the repair cost on the lower end models exceeds the original cost.

Specifically, that model is an ink gobbler, requires a modem for the fax, and prints very slow with poor quality. It's had poor reviews from day one.
