Hi, we have a 3 megapixel Sony digital camera we bought about 10 yrs ago. At that time, it was cutting edge. It's still a great camera. but I've never, ever liked the way the digital photos print out at home, or even in the stand alone Kodak Kiosk things where you use your own memory card. Is it me, or is there a true difference between a picture taken by a 35 mm camera and one taken by a digital? I'm currently printing at home on a HP Photosmart 7760 using special photo paper and photo ink cartridges, so that is not the issue. I just don't see the depth quality in color pictures when printing from my smart media card. I see these ads on TV for the camera you just put in a docking station and print the pic, and it all looks so wonderful...but is it really??? BTW, DH bought himself a Christmas present, an 8 megapixel camera. I'll be interested to see what those pics turn out like in print. Any input on the type of printer you use for pics you like would be welcomed. Jan
I purchased the Epson PictureMate Deluxe Photo Printer for my wife for Christmas. These pictures are fabulous. The printer only does 4 X 6 prints which is what we require, but they are absolutely great prints. I was a little unsure of the quality myself, until I played with a demo unit in the store. Take a look at these small photo printers...they offer tons of features and excellent quality.
