So Ken, how's it going? It hasn't been too hot yet, but wanted to check in and see if you have an update.

Also, I can't find the info you posted about the light bulbs. Would you re-post it here? Thanks!

Ours was $110 too! Woohoo! I was so happy! That's low for us five! :)

My bad, I just looked at our power bill, it was $108, I was off $2! LOL Even better!

April to May CP&L Power Bill (well, OK, Progress Energy!)

HOUSE $56.47, last mo. $79.62 (normal to small size 3 bedrooms)

    Shop/Barn $19.81, last mo. $18.32

Note: if you have a home shop "out-building" having a seperate power meter can save you money. Farm Buildings are on a diferent RATE plan & pay less in tax.

No AC, No Heat, No Dryer, No Debt!

We are saving for a purpose & we have a plan. Yipppiieee!!!

    You are right,

But we try to do 'without' for 60-90 days between seasons... I know by 6/15 we will cave in & turn on some AC.
    But NOT Much!

Ours was $94, down from around $130. That's a little better, but I have a feeling it could do better still...

I have it set at 75 during the day, I don't need it to be an ice chest in here. I like it cooler at night and turn it down to 70 with the ceiling fan on full blast! 8)

Dehumidifier We have one & love it. $5.00 bucks at Basic Needs & looks new!

    hehehee!
    I love a DEAL!

It is the 3rd one whe have had, same brand & style. Sears, I think. All were deals, one yard sale, one State Surplus and the new one above. They last appx 5 years and were all new to us, but not new!

    Dang it!

We caved on Friday night as I had a fever/sinus infection hell and DH & Jr. were sweat-bombs. They both are human "heatmisers" and have flames rolling off their heads 12 months a year.

No Joke - I have seen steam rise off my DH in the winter.
