    Hello -

I did some power shopping yesterday while the kids were in religious
school and I had 1 & 1/2 hours to shop in Cary.

I hit Food Lion, CVS, Lowe's Foods and then we all went to Harris
    Teeter on the way home.

Here are my totals and good deals:

    Cvs:
Used ECB's (Extra Care Bucks) from last weeks Pantene buys to get 2
Alka Seltzer Cough and Cold containers which will earn me another
    $11 in ECB's. Total coast after ECB's 4 cents. Total saved : $10.94

    Lowe's Foods:
Used $1 Wishbone coupons from the Food Lion wine guide that was in stores a couple weeks ago to get 8 small salad dressing containers. Total cost: 8 cents. Total saved: $13.60

    Food Lion:
Used Food Lion coupons and $1 Ragu coupons to purchase Ragu sauce
and Kraft Mac and Cheese. Total paid: 4 cents. Total saved : $10.80

    Harris Teeter:
Had to start restocking my fridge after the tragic death of our old one this weekend, so I spent a little more than usual.

Total before sales and Q's: $76.48
    Total spent: $28.08
    Total Saved: $48.42

    Here is what I bought:
Nesquick lowfat choc and straw milks - FREE after .50 Q
Purina Dog Chow Senior - BOGO w/$1 Q's
    Pillsbury Waffles - FREE after .50 Q
Ripe bananas - 25 cents per lb
    Daisy Sour Cream .30 after .35 Q
Banquet chicken pot pies - FREE with .50 Q
    All Laundry sale price $2.99 - .50 Q doubled = $1.99
Jif TO GO - FREE with raincheck and .75 Q
Cat Chow (small bag) - .10 each with $1.89 Q's from paper a couple
    weeks ago
La Creme 4-pack yogurt - FREE with free Q that Manuf. sent when when
    I requested Q's
    2 containers tofu with $1 Q
Milk - (I know - I paid WAY too much especially since milk is on
sale at Walgreens for $2.79, but we needed it and I was not near a
Walgreens. I will just have to live with the extra $1.25 I spent for
the rest of my life! LOL!).
California Roll sushi with $2 seafood coupon (a splurge I know but
    we all enjoy it!)

I will also hit Walgreen's at the end of the week for more milk at
the sale price. I may also hit HT again for more free nesquick
    before the sale ends tomorrow.

    Total for day:

    $106 in product for $28.24 :D

How long is milk on sale at Walgreens? We drink so much, we need our own cow. :D I'm always looking for a milk bargain!

    Thanks!

The Walgreens sales goes through Saturday. On Sundays the new sale starts for the week.

Remember that you can freeze milk. Just pour out a little from the tip so it has room to expand, put the top back on and stick it in the freezer. I usually use the milk in the first month, but you can freeze it for 2-3 months and not notice a difference.
