    Anybody been yet?

I've been a few times, they have a few good deals, they have a dollar aisle and those Uncle Ray chips are the bomb. They also have a huge Hispanice produce section. I'm talking prickly pear leaves, yucca roots, and a bunch of other stuff I have never heard of. I am going to make a list of all those items, and then start researching Hispanic recipes.

is that the place over on 401 in "old garner" i call it, by kmart? I got a flyer last week and the prices seemed really good on a lot of things. but I'm never in that area anymore, so probably won't go. I sure wish they'd bring an aldi's around here. I saw the one in Cary yesterday (I don't get out much!) and it was the fanciest aldi's I ever saw. Kind of like an oximoron? A fancy cheap store...?

Yep, old Garner. I go during the day and there is hardly anybody there.

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT even think about buying Our Family brand soda, though. BLECH!

We can get an Aldi eventually. Everyone just needs to go on Aldi.com, and under find a location, put in your zip code. They look at that site to determine where they should build next. I go about once a week, and just keep putting in mine. Hoping they will come soon.

Super Compare... isn't that name of the one in Zebulon? Used to be a Winn Dixie way back. I went there the other day shopping with a friend. Nice selection if ya ask me... produce looked great! And if ya want to cook Mexican food (can I still call it Mexican food?) that's the place to shop... what ever it was called...

I know the one in Garner used to be a Winn DIxie, yes alot of hispanic ingredients- fresh and hard to find ones! Also, a variety of other ethnicities too. I DID see some frozen quail and froglegs.

speaking of Hispanic foods... I did a little comparison shopping when buying some spices for some rib rub recipes. You can get more spices in less packaging for CHEAP in comparison to say McCormick . I was astounded at the difference!

I do the same - always check that aisle before biting the bullet and buying the pricey ones. However, I will be much more careful after recently seeing something MOVING in one of the bags.... CHECK BEFORE BUYING! And yes, I did let the store know. It was at a FL but not at 4042 or 210. Was in Dunn if I remember correctly.
