I'm sure there are, but I've found the defrag on XP to be just fine. Anything in particular that you are looking for it to do that the one that ships with XP doesn't?
Nah i have run scan disk and defrag before on my pc. Scandisk had found 4 bad sectors. A coworker gave me a copy of a scan disk tool that actually found the problem and fixed the bad sector that microsoft found. Well in my defrag utility that comes with MS there are a few allocations it cant defrag. So i was hoping to find a utility that could defrag those few un-degrable sectors. I am just being overly Anal-retentive (if i am allowed to say that)
hm..most good ones cost a few. like diskkeeper...it's a very good one, but i'm not sure of the price. ::side note:: the windows defrag isn't a very good one. it skips alot of stuff and is not as precise as the ones that you pay a little extra for. however...depending on just how much you really delete, install, move...all that such, it might just be easier to stay with the windows defrag.
