should I upgrade from xp to windows 7. All my hardware is hi end. I had vista originally, but it stank, so I put xp back. Every time I tried to change or install something, vista hastled me. XP works fine. Any reason to upgrade to 7. I web browse, play some first person shooters, and have to have quickbooks. I know i've got to back up my files cause they'll be lost. However, I'm on a fairly new install of xp, so that aint no big deal.

If XP is working fine for you, in my opinion, I wouldn't bother upgrading.

I agree...for what you are doing there is no compelling reason to move off of Windows XP. It will continue to be supported by Microsoft with updates through April of 2014.

I run all 3 OS's and prefer 7 for some of it's features and have it on my work laptop. XP is still a solid OS that I use on my work PC and to manage my home network. Have Vista on my personal laptop and like it the least of the 3.
