Idiot me, I stored my LIFE on my usb jumpdrive. Yesterday, my laptop fell a certain way and bent the drive. I popped it open and some of the connectors are loose and I couldn't fix them. Are these drives repairable? If so, who would repair? Second, if they aren't repairable, can the data be retrieved one way or another?

    HELP!!

Be very careful with the drive at this point. It is likely your data is fine, but if the connectors make contact the wrong way, it could wipe the data off the drive.

Not knowing the condition it is in it's hard to give advice on how to proceed. If the jumpdrive connectors are still in place, I would try attaching it to your PC with a USB extension cord instead of plugging it directly into the USB port on your laptop. This is just a USB cord that you would plug one side into your laptop, and the other would have the connector that you could plug the jumpdrive into.

The reason I would do it this way is that you could make sure the jump drive was firmly connected to the extension cable before attaching the other end to the laptop. That avoids trying to get the damaged connector to go directly into the laptop USB port and possibly giving you a "jolt" that would affect your data. BTW, are you sure that the USB port on your laptop was not damaged also?

If none of that works, you might find you need the services of a data recovery company, such as below:

Sorry to hear about your problem!! I hope you are able to get all your data back successfully.
