I have a video that i want to share on the forum - it's a good one too(from a broadcast news report so its rated G). Since it was emailed to me and it is about 3Mb in size, there's no way I can post it or even provide a link. Anyone got a suggestion as to what I can do?
Since this thread was already here I will ask another question. I have video I put on my website but it is slow to view in media player. It is taking FOREVER or stops responding. The other videos are working fine. I am not sure if it is a server problem or something else. Any ideas?
The movie sizes vary from 35-60 MB in .mpg. I do notice slower starting with the larger files. I only use about 3% of my disk space usage for the site so it would seem I would have enough space to work with right? Or am I understanding that wrong? Have any suggestions to show the movie easier other than lowering quality and length?
I usually put it in MPEG-2 format or .wmv. The bitrate for this one video is 6000 kbps. (ouch  ) as an mpeg-2. This movie is only about 1.5 minutes. Maybe I should make it a .wmv file.
thanks devilock, I guess while you were reading and posting I was reading your mind because I just reduced the quality down to 352x240 at 2400/kbps. It should work faster and still keep the quality for web viewing. It will eventually be DVD that is why it is formatted at the higher rate. I have been thinking about the mpeg-4 issue for sometime but I am by nature a skeptic and it just takes a while for me to jump on the wagon...lol. I am sure it will happen very soon though. thanks again!
Now that is what I need. I have had a couple that don't work on a particular dvd because of compatability and such so I will definitely look into that more. thanks.
