-I've learned in the last week: 1)Delete that little partition Win98SE makes. 2)Run an operating system that isn't intended for laptops. DSL. Won't turn on cooling fan. Didn't hurt it, though. 3)Accidentally delete the partition. GParted's menu will always go back and select the partition you were previously working on if something goes wrong, which I had done a dozen times in a row, but will go back to the first partition, the hard drive, if it performs an operation correctly. (My wife's work computer, trying to partition a USB flash drive)
Is this true!? There are special operating systems for laptops? Do you mean different versions of XP?
Wow. That's new to me. I've been using it on laptops that I convert to digital picture frames. No fall-out yet, but then again, a 233mhz doesn't run that hot.
