Hopefully Devilock may know a work around. I tend to use Winamp myself. Real player tends to suck rescources on my computer and puts those stupid album covers and such on all my mp3's.

But I do have to say this, Friends don't let friends get JACKED up on MS! :)

Please post your OS version (XP?) and then your version on the Media Player. You can find that by clicking on the "help" or the "?" on the media player screen. Post the full number given.

Media Player is the #2 "HACK" point in a PC. You may try running a few spyware programs and see what that does.

I know when I have a problem with playing back songs or video I reinstall the program. I don't "uninstall" it first but I just go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx then load it up again. It has worked for some things. It asks you some questions like your default player options and such. It has worked for me. It may work for you?
