Every time my son turns on his PS3 "live" it kicks laptop connection off. Any idea why? Do I need to upgrade? Change a setting? HELP! :banghead:

Could be a QOS (quality or service) issue or something similar but it would be better to know the brand of router (D-Link, Linksys, Netgear, etc.) and the model number, so we know how to log in to it and go about looking at things, and possibly tweaking.

Sounds like the PS3 is claiming priority. Set the PS3 with a static IP or set both for DHCP.

PS: Fox is right, it would help if you post the hardware being used. Post the "firmware version" off the back of the router also.
