Hugh Hefner promoted sex and naked women. He does not deserve to be mentioned and certainly is not an AMERICAN ICON!!!! He's dead and does not need to be praised as an ICON, except to promote filth.

The women who worked for Hugh were not forced. While I never understood why they would do this type of job I always understood that they were not forced. I hope this satisfies your curiosity of why I posted this Thread. He was a pioneer

That is your opinion. For my father's generation and others it was an awakening. While I believe people should see beyond the outside of others I, also, realize that in doing what he did he brought sex out from behind the shadows and wanted people to enjoy it all the time.
