Wish they could bring in a good cafeteria to that building.

 

Someone remarked elsewhere they did it for the pure reason to have employees for the holiday rush. Its over, they are over.

 

nobody quits that suddenly without a FU'ed reason. Something ain't cool business wise.

I went to school with "Mr. Dunderbachs" son. They used to be in Crabtree Valley Mall. I really liked that restaurant. They had good food and great beer. Frazenskenier or spelled something like that

 

did anyone attend bernies southern gourmet buffet 'family and friends" opening last evening in former mccalls? if so, how was it? their grand opening is Saturday, march 31. $16.99 for buffet, includes beverage.

Their website is not working yet, hopefully soon.

But $16.99 seems a bit much for a buffet. I can get a decent dinner at Mannings for not far off from that.

 

Yeah there’s no way I’d pay that for a buffet. Half that would be a much better price point.

 

just heard on radio that bernies is offering buy one buffet full price get one half price.

 

We went on the 31st. Couldn't tell it was a grand opening. Flow is kinda peculiar. Enter, pay for meals, then get seated. The food was meh.....shrimp were over fried. Salad bar meh. Dessert bar..nothing to write home about. It was probably a two time visit there...1st and last. Too expensive, food not exciting enough to bring us back.

 

We were hoping this would be a great new addition to the area. Our experience was very disappointing. We agree with Hatteras6. And will add, even if price was much less we will not return.

 

Don't think they will last long!! We need some good, clean restaurants!!

 

Bernie's looks very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. But that can not overcome the food.

Wish I had more info but I heard there's a seafood place going in there.
