Called Amerigas today about a refill and they quoted $3.37 gal. OUCH! What are you being charged by other companies?

I'm again exploring getting our own tank but want to see how much our savings will be. I tried twice to call BJs to find out how much they charge per gallon. I ended up on endless hold both times and gave up :-( Anyone know what a gallon of propane is going for at local stations?

We just filled up our 100lb tank we bought at Lowe's up on 42 and it was $42, there is a place on 50 (Jone's Supply) that is even cheaper but they are only open during the day. Personally i would never deal with TR Lees again, i am one of the ones they ripped off, tried to charge me charges that i did not owe, and it took me about 9 months before it was straightened out. What you need to remember is that while you may have your own tank, if you deal with them they are going to charge you not only the delivery fee but extra per gallon to cover the labor costs. Anyway, that is my opinion on dealing with that company and it comes from first hand experience. i have never been happier with our gas logs then i have been the last two years since we purchased our tank at Lowe's and DH throws it in the back of the truck maybe twice a year to be refilled locally.
