Okay, kookookacho, so I'm the hostile one, you are the one that started calling names. I have enough sense to know that if I talked to Mr. whomever, that would be only one person, and one person is not going to change this.
Anyway, you don't know my kid. He's alot more grown up than some adults I know. He's very responsible for his age.
I got the idea of starting a petition from the Dr's I work with, and so many kids coming in with back pain. I'll go back and tell them the outcome. We just thought if all these parents who were spending money on their kids Dr's visit, would come together and approach the school board like this, that maybe something would be done.

I know my son is small for his age, however, this morning as we were getting ready to go to school, his book bag was so heavy with the books when he tried to put it on his back, it pulled him down on his butt..........I told him to leave stuff in his locker. Then BOTH my boys chimed in saying that they do NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME. It's true. And others here are saying they have the same concern. This is not just a "pansy" problem people. We all need to start looking at it as a real concern now. The proof is there. Ask the kids. Are ALL the kids in the school going to lie about it??? I think NOT.

I agree that parents need to bond together to make a difference. The school usually sends home a form at the end of the year to rate the quality of the school and the teachers. So even while we may be able to do something in the mean time, we need to fill that thing out with our concerns on this issue as well as other issues like tax free weekend and school supply lists.

And we can here all that, "Well, when I went to school, we didn't have or we had......", from some people but it does not take away from or solve the PRESENT DAY concern. It's just "noise".

Thank you Blessed, I was thinking and I know we had at least 5 minutes between classes, because if you didn't understand something the teacher would say, see me after class. These kids aren't even able to do that. They are herded around like cattle. I want better for my kids than what I had.
