I think I just read that CBGB's just closed this past weekend. I will have to look for that link. I went there once in 1987. No one famous, past present or future that night, but cool to go.
Here it is. Closing halloween. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/459617p-386646c.html Maybe opeing in Vegas. So much for anti establishment.
I don't live too far from 210 and I agree...fast food is over rated. How is 2 Cousins...are they any good. Rosa
Sorry Ken...couldn't resist  Boiardi was born in Piacenza, Italy. His cooking skill became notable when he opened his first restaurant, Il Giardino d'Italia, in Cleveland, Ohio in the 1940s. Patrons asked for multiple servings of his spaghetti sauce, which he would give to the customers in old milk bottles. Demand grew, so much so, in fact, that he had to employ the use of a tiny factory to keep up with orders. It was at this time that he set his sights on selling his product nationally, first priding his spaghetti products on being inexpensive and thus a good meal choice to serve to the entire family. The factory was moved to Milton, Pennsylvania where Boiardi had close control of all of the ingredients placed into his products. He even grew mushrooms in the basement of the factory to be used in his creations. Boiardi was quite proud of his Italian heritage. He sold his products under Chef Boy-Ar-Dee, allowing his American customers to pronounce his name perfectly.
Cleveland still ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! Hey, how about a Love Shack, if the B52s are coming? (Just a rumor I heard.)
Oh I'm sure he has rolled over in his grave a few times over what the product has become. But after the first couple $million$ profit who would care...someone is eating it.
Maybe McGee’s won't make the same mistake that Cleveland made when they decided not to incorporate...but I doubt it. Of course there really isn't anyone nearby to be annexed into @ McGee's. Now it seems the land grab is on as Clayton will attempt to expand and we see more and more property up for sale. Also interesting that JMH's new facility is named "Clayton Medical Center". We've seen several attempts such as the 50/42 satellite annexation which failed...for now. IMO more attempts will be coming as there is potentially so much money out there to be had.
What are the steps to Incorporate a Town in NC How would one go about getting Pleasant Grove (McGee's) or Cleveland incorporated? How about your own homestead as a town is it possible?
What would you name it? "Also interesting that JMH's new facility is named "Clayton Medical Center". What would you call it? It will be located at 42 and Amelia Church Road. It is located in Clayton's ETJ.
Neptunes is good...if you like fried...but there home-made cocktail sauce is the absolute worse thing I have ever had on seafood!!! I wish someone would tell them to just buy some and quit bringing that vile stuff to the table.
Here is a summary of the requirements, from the NC General Assembly: http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/documen...mary of Municipal Incorporation Procedure.pdf And here is a general interest story about how to start your own town: http://www.slate.com/id/2130597/
all they need to do is say...ok...lets lay some road down...make a few blocks in the area. but no. they'll copy 40/42.... Planner: LET'S PUT EVERYTHING ON ONE ROAD GUYS! Average Joe: 'wait wont that...kinda...make things hectic' Planner: 'WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT'...IT'S ALL RIGHT THERE ON ONE ROAD!'
speaking KOBE....i know many of you may not live near the Dunn area. but does anyone check out the hibatchi grill? in case you didn't know it's basically an ALL YOU CAN EAT chinese/japanese place. instead of paying that 40 bucks for 2 people to eat at KOBE's...you can 20...and eat the same thing..all you want. it's really a good deal. just thought i'd spread the word
I think you are mistaken in what they are talking about. The JMH facility is the one being discussed as being built at 40/42 interchange. I think they are two seperate facilities being planned.
