wake county ems does the "subscritpion" thing. it's 50 bucks per household i think, but then anybody who needs an ambulance ride gets one for the year without being charged the normal 250 bucks.
The one's going around now are for the 50/210 fire dept. You don't have to give anything, but anything you can give will help to purchase new equipment for the department. You would be surprised at the astronomical costs of fire fighting equipment. Just the turnout gear they wear costs hundreds of dollars. I've heard that there is a new company taking the pics this year and you will have your choice of 4 poses from which to pick your free photo, but I'm not 100% sure of that. Thank you to those who give to help support our fire fighters. I realize that gas is through the roof right now and the price of everything is going up, and if you can't give that's ok. Just be sure to tell them that you appreciate the job they do and that will make them happy.
Yeah, I don't like the sticker on the mailbox either. They are crappy paper stickers that leave half behind when peeled off.
