My 12 year old cat is having a tumor removed from his leg today. He may end up with no leg if it looks like invasive cancer. Worrying about my buddy, waiting for a phone call.
Awww....hugs!!! :grouphug: Don't worry.. even if he does lose the leg he'll be healthy and just fine. We had a 13 year old Maine Coon Cat that had bone cancer in one leg and they had to amputate it. He came home from the vet, and it didn't take him long to adjust. He immediately was using his tail kind of like a rudder to help balance himself. Vet said keep him calm and quiet.. that same night he was jumping off and on his favorite chairs, like he didn't even know he was missing a leg! As far as I know that cat is about 20 years old now... he was given to a friend of the family years ago when my mom started traveling alot and spending winters in FL.
Thanks, that's what the vet kept telling me today. He's a 17 pound tuxedo cat with all pink pads but one. His little toe on the bad leg has a black pad. I'm gonna miss his little black pinkie toe pad if it goes.
I have a song stuck in my head... and I'm gonna share.... Doin' It.... by LL Cool J... anyone remember that one??? (doin' it an' doin' it an' doin' it well.....) :jester:
Do I have to tell my DH I ate a whole sleeve of Thin Mint cookies, if he didn't know that I had them? LOL :jester:
