I wish I had picked my daughter up from school. I should have known her bus would be super late today.
I'm so proud of my 1st grader. He got 100% on his spelling test and got both of his challenge words correct: nutrition and vegetables. I know adults who probably couldn't spell those correctly.
I know right? we went down Wed to EI, stayed with some friends @ her grandmas house and it was HUGE!!! too many steps though  I'd need an elevator.
Just wanted to give a 'shout out' to my friend's daughter! she's an awesome singer and a special person! http://www.theherald-nc.com/2011/08/28/19715/singer-takes-to-road-to-promote.html
Me too. I never thought I'd be a beach bum, but I do believe I'd go every weekend if I could afford it... Maybe we could go in together?
Does the elementary cafeteria really need to offer 4 different flavors of milk every day, but no juice?
Not picking on you but I would much rather my kiddo drank milk than juice which is basically glorified sugar water. Whole fruit is much better for them.
I know, but milk makes my child feel sick (lactose intolerance and reflux) and the only option besides milk is water, which is fine but doesn't have any calories or vitamins/minerals/etc. and it is part of her lunch. It would be nice if they would maybe replace one of those milk flavors with something like orange juice or cranberry juice or something other than dairy. Just a minor frustration.
I feel for you then! I try to get every calorie I can in my kid, so I can undertand that frustration. That was my gripe with outlawing peanut butter. He's so freaking skinny I just want him to eat something calorie dense at every opportunity. Majority rules though. I'd pack her something if I were you, if you can. PITA for sure.
