My sis makes the yummiest shrimp and grits. She has an herb garden and uses chives out of it....and tons of cheese! Not very low fat though! She got the original recipe from Paula Deen!
nothing low fat about them....sure enough....and chives are sprinkled on top of the ones I love too.....
I think my grandmother used to make her own too, but I'd have no way of getting the recipe. My mom loved having it as a sandwich.
Which is the same one Bubba uses.. he serves her fried chicken too. SO anyone going to Savannah and determined to eat Paula's food. Save yourself the 5 hour wait on the sidewalk and go to Bubba's. We walked right in for lunch on a Saturday at 11:45ish. But if you go to Bubba's and like oysters, you have got to order the Chargrilled Oysters for appetizers. OMG, they are melt in your mouth good! (you can't get those at Paula's)
I dont eat peppers. Its not the kind of pepper you are typically thinking....like green or red....its very mild and not 'peppery' ....honest engine, its super yummy on toasted bread.....
No shrimp and grits tomorrow, as I honestly won't have time to make them, with having to work and stuff. But I will be on blender tomorrow night, and might even have a neighbor over with his blender as well. Hmmmmm.......dueling blenders....could make for a bad Friday morning if not careful. :mrgreen: Craig
