I was born and raised in Raleigh. Both of my parents were born in Raleigh, and all of my grandparents were born somewhere in NC. I have never lived outside of NC. I am a proud Southern girl!

I'm not Southern but not a Yankee either. Midwest farmer's daughter. We have given several wedding and/or shower gifts in the past 2 or 3 years and not gotten any sort of acknowledgement from some. I wanted to call and ask if they received the gift but DH wouldn't let me cuz I was too cranky about it.

You're not too Southern, you just have decent manners.
