Surprised me when I saw the outcome. Wondering if the gay internet pics were the reason Adam lost. Did America vote for the best singer or the best "All-American" Idol?
mmm, maybe you're thinking about Danny? He is a worship leader at a big church. I haven't seen anything like that about Kris. Adam will probably do better on his own anyway, he is quite the performer - seems all of the winners (except Kelly C) don't always do as well as some of the runner ups anyway.
Kris is also a youth pastor or something related. I believe Kris probably scored the votes Danny would have gotten. I don't think he was as good a singer as Danny or Adam but he does seem like the "All-American" guy. I wanted Danny to win because he rocks!
I can imagine that they didn't help his image with a lot of the american voters. But then again the show is "American Idol", not "America's best singer"... so I guess that overall image does factor in when people consider who they want to idolize. I never liked Adam's image, even before the pictures came out, and his voice was too 80s rocker for me. Kris has a more mellow, John Mayer type vibe, I love it!
I did not like Adam at all, and don't know what pics any of you are talking about. I think he screams, not sings. Although when he does sing, he sounds good, but that is a rare occasion. Overall I wanted Allison and Danny in top 2, but with the 2 in it, wanted Kris to win, he seemed like a nice guy with a good voice. And he did awesome with Keith Urban last night! So I was happy. And I was one of the few who thought he would win, just cause he'd take Danny's old votes.
I think the type of music Kris does is very "in" right now and I am looking forward to more songs from him. I agree DMJ, I could not stand Adam! Hubby knew just knew he was gonna win, I am so glad he didnt!
I think that the outcome SUCKED! Adam is a much better performer than Kris. But WHATEVER...Adam will do just fine!
I couldn't stand even looking at the tv when Adam was on, and if I DVR'd it then I skipped over it when he was singing. I'm not saying he isn't talented, if you like that sort of thing, but I don't. But this was the best year of Idol ever, lots of great talent! Can't wait to see who makes it in the "real world" and who doesn't. I hope Allison does an album, she reminds me of Pink or Kelly Clarkson.
Kris sings with a church that somehow in the "C3" family. I read Matt Fry's posts on Facebook. He's been pulling for Kris the whole time. Danny, of course, is also, a worship leader.

I remember thinking all the through that if I had to pick someone besides Adam, it would be Kris. I wish there had been better girls this year. This is the second year in a row that the final two were guys. Where are the Carrie Underwoods and Kelly Clarksons?!
OK! I don't even LIKE reality tv crap, BUT ... I starthed watching because of the dude from Chapel Hell. :mrgreen: Chris did a great job and I LOVE the fact that he can sing AND play different insturments! WAY SEXY!!!! :twisted:

I read Clay's blog and he did retract later. It seems like he was a little jealous, but I don't know. Adam being bi-curious now?! What? I love his voice and his music, but I'm wondering about that. How do you go from being to gay to bi-curious in just the last week? One thing I admire about Adam is he doesn't hold back. At least he doesn't try to seem one way so that we only find out later it's not true. At least he's laying all out on the line - althought it might be a little TMI. Not sure what to think...I'm still a fan, though.
Taylor Hicks is going to be here in Raliegh. He is playing "teen angel" (the Frankie Valli part) in Grease at DPAC if anyone wnats to see him LOL
