Hey Tit4Tat I agree, letem rideee. I can understand if peckerheads are going through your yard at 11pm on a frigging kx 500 but hey where I live you can ride all night long lol.For the most part out of 308 range from almost everyone. If I could just win the lottery lol I would but 300 acres of land and the party would be onnnn like neckbones and everyone would be invited woo hooo:cheers:
Hey scottie!!!! Sunk any boats? Glad to see you joined!!!! Put your thick skin on. It can get ugly in here. lol. No, seriously put your thick skin on.....ROFL Love ya babes!!
Do you live in my neighborhood? We have a boy that rides. SOunds familiar. hummmmmmmm.... Hught, read my comment closer. I said as long as they are NOT on your property.
I feel your pain. I have a neighbor who has turned his backyard into a track so not only do I hear the dirt bikes, now it's the 4-wheelers. The neighbor has decided to extend his track to his friends so every Sunday afternoon I get to hear it for hours. In addition to the track, they race them up and down the street. Oh joy!!!!
Well, we live in a subdivision that is on a state maintained road, so it's illegal to ride anything on the road that doesn't have a plate. Go ahead and teach the little ones it's okay to break the law and not follow HOA rules. Real good parenting...:? I don't mind if people have things like this in my subdivision, as long as they are considerate and don't ride in my yard. Anyway, if your lifestyle revolves around these things, then why would you buy in a subdivision in the first place? We used to do all this, but we lived on 20 acres and had plenty of room to ride and didn't disturb any neighbors, because we didn't have any. Just my 2 cents...
A suggestion re: Dirt Bikes and Subdivisions First, talk with the dad - more then likely they aren't aware it's bothering someone. Second, read and check your subdivision Rules & Regs thoroughly. It's possible they aren't allowed in the subdivision anyway (they aren't in mine) Third, if speaking with the dad doesn't work, and dirt bikes aren't allowed in your s/d, call the association. They can put a stop to it if it's not allowed and if it is, you can work together to amend the rules to something that is acceptable to both bike and non-bike owners.
TIT4TAT... I might, we live in a subdivision near McGees off 50 hwy. We don't have a homeowners association per say because all of the homes are well kept, yards mowed and we are all extremly considerate of one another and each others property values. When houses have come up for sale they usually sale above what the fair market value is and within a month. Even now with the economy like it is we just had a house that sold in under a month and a half and WAY above what the market says it is worth. I think I will tolerate it for a little while longer and then I may approach the dad. I don't want any hard feelings so maybe before I say something to him, somebody else will. Wishful thinking, I know.
