Another Dog Food Question

    Nutro max lamb and rice............my black lab had bad skin this made her coat shiney and no more dandruff and iching!

    Good article, and yep, that pretty much covers what the vet thinks............it didn't say anything about changing her food though. Don't think it will hurt, that is for sure.

    Improving the quality of her diet should definitely help, just like when we eat healthier food it shows in our hair and skin. Usually dogs have problems with dry skin and that is why manufacturers have focused on supplements that contain oil. In Molly's case I think this would further irritate the problem.
    Keeping her hair short, should help also because not as much oil can collect in her hair. Stripping, or carding her coat would remove her undercoat and leave the wiry hair which repels dirt and oils more effectively.
