I do agree that the spendthrifty attitude of many of the American people are also to blame for the mess we are in, There has been way too many of the extravagant spending that has dragged down the economic landscape of America. I personally think also that a lot of that is in directly a reflection of the idea that was that everyone should live the American dream and own their own home, Bad loans were being handed out like Halloween candy to people of all income brackets, most of these people who wanted homes and couldn't afford to pay for these homes, had to furnish these houses with new furniture et, al.... which means more credit debt ,refinancing - and look now it's come full circle and everyone is going to pay for the corporate, individual, and governmental greed that has put this country's economy in the ****ter. :neutral:

heard this morning bb&t will lay off folks. also freighliner i think was another one.

 

BB&T's layoff was last Monday, but I think there is more to come.

 

I know....I went by chops today, and there was a closed sign up. It says it is up for sale or lease. I feel bad for them.

 

I went to the Goody's in Smt. yesterday, it was a dang zoo. Walked in and walked back out.
