When my daughter had these problems the doctor had her taking FiberChoice. It's over at the Metamucil stuff. They look sorta like Tums and are chewable. They have fruity flavors and she chewed 1 per day to keep everything "going easily". She liked them & chewed 1 a day for many months, but now she's 13 and just doesn't seem to have a problem anymore.

    Hey DMJmom-
Try ground flax seed. There is no taste to this at all and it works great in food or anything he drinks. I purchased mine from the Farmers Market in Raleigh in one of the inside stores there - it was around $4.00 for 1.5 to 2 quarts, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per day will make all the difference in the world It's natural and again it is great!

Has he been checked for allergies? Simple allergies can cause symptoms such as earaches, eye discomfort, headaches and stomach issues.

It was years before I finally went on allergy medicine. I didn't realize how bad I felt all over, until I started feeling so much better!

My daughter used that for a while and it works great and didn't affect the taste of food at all.

Hey! In your first post on this subject you said his stomach hurts right before bedtime, right after he has had milk. Maybe he is a little lactose intolerent. My son's stomach would hurt sometimes when he would drink a glass of milk or even a bowl of ice cream, then in a little while the pains went away.
Nothing is worse than having a sick child and not know what to do about it!
